Course Goal:
This course helps students build a complete
communication knowledge and establish a good analysis ability for modern
broadband communication systems. Main topics include communication signal
processing, fundamental digital communication architecture, OFDM technology,
MIMO and beamforming, analog front end problems, and
the introduction to modern wireless broadband transmission systems.
You can learn main knowledge of algorithms and
architectures adopted in a general broadband communication transceiver and
practice the methodology and the skill how to design a communication
transceiver from the system level to the architecture level.
Class Strategy:
4
MATLAB homeworks for each one
1
term exam (openbook)
Multiple MATLAB labs in class (if time is
available)
